Here is a little more about Wendy

1. Briefly share with us your background (Education, Interests, etc.)?

I was born and raised an hour west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have a degree is Business with an emphasis in Marketing.

I work full time managing a team of recruiters for a large telecommunications company. When I am not working, I can be found in my second home “the gym” or my kitchen. I have a passion for fitness and healthy cooking!

In addition to lifting and competing, I love to run. I have done a few half marathons and some smaller races over the last year. Another goal of mine is to pursue a Sports Nutrition Certification. I am currently looking into to taking some online courses to get certified.

I love to cook and share my knowledge of clean eating with my friends and family.

2. Who has inspired you the most to succeed as a Fitness Competitor?

There are so many to choose from! I follow Ava Cowan, Nicole Wilkins and Jamie Eason. All 3 are very dedicated to their passion and are very inspirational to me.

3. What competitions have you made appearances in? From these, what were your placements (titles won)?

My first show was in May of this year, the OCB Atlantic Supershow in Richmond Virginia, I took 5th place in the Novice Figure Short division and 6th in the Master’s 35+.

My second show was the NANBF California Natural Muscle Mayhem Bodybuilding & Figure Championships in Sacramento California in July. I did not place in this show; however it was a great learning experience for me. I was able to meet and connect with so many wonderful women and was able to receive great feedback from the judges.

This was extremely beneficial considering I now know what I need to work on should I decide to compete again in 2012.

4. When is your next upcoming show? What will be your competing class?

I do not have any plans to compete for the remainder of this year. I am in the building phase of my training plan. I will be competing in Master’s 35+ and Figure Novice Short class.

5. Where can fans find out more about you (website, published magazines, etc.)?

I can best be reached through Facebook- just friend me!

One last thought…. Don’t take a backseat to your own life, get out there and live your dreams!!
