Keri Ford – Bikini and Fitness Competitor

Keri Ford, a newly GEO Sponsored Athlete, Bikini/Fitness Competitor and Fitness Model has shared some of her amazing background experiences, current projects and aspirations for the future.

Here’s what Keri had to share with

1. Briefly share with us your background (Education, Interests, etc.)?

I graduated from the University of Delaware where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising and Graphic Design. I started my design career in New York City at an ad agency, but I made my way across the country to Los Angeles where I now run my own Fitness Consulting and Design business.

Earlier this year I partnered up with Lindsay Messina’s Perfect Body Online ( to become the in-house Print Director. We offer services for aspiring fitness models and women in the fitness business to help them establish their brand identity through print and online materials.

In conjunction with design, I also run a Virtual Nutrition and Training Program called IGNITE that focuses on custom lifestyle plans for a range of men and women. My most recent accomplishment was becoming a fully sponsored and signed athlete with Gifted Earth Originals Organic Egg White Protein Powder. I am thrilled to be representing their brand and I am excited to see what the future holds.

When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my husband, watching movies, hitting up the spa, reading, cooking and trying new workouts! I also enjoy the beach and (almost) anything involving water.

2. Who has inspired you the most to succeed as a Fitness Competitor?

Ironically, most of my inspiration comes from women that compete in the figure category such as Emily Stirling. As much as I love the glamour of competing, I also enjoy the grueling, sweaty workouts that comes with the territory.

I admire the dedication and strength of these women.

3. What competitions have you made appearances in? From these, what were your placements (titles won)?

In 2009, I competed in my first competition where I placed fourth in the regional Fitness America California show in the bikini short category and then in October 2010, I placed third in the California Championships in the fitness category where I performed a Cinderella routine theme.

In November 2010, I competed in my first National show, the Fitness America in Las Vegas. I didn’t place, but I had a great experience and left with a clear training direction.

4. When is your next upcoming show? What will be your competing class?

This year I plan on competing in the Fitness America Pageant again, but this time I will compete in both the bikini short and fitness categories where I will be debuting a brand new routine that is much more dynamic and challenging than my first one. Next year I plan on competing with the WBFF.

5. Where can fans find out more about you (website, published magazines, etc.)?

You can go to my personal website where I post training and nutrition articles, clean recipes, information about my programs and the latest news (

I also make daily posts on my facebook fan page ( and watch for me in the next several issues of Physique Magazine, as I will be a new regular columnist (
