Can you please share your bio and interests with our readers?

Hi! I’m Julia Keirse, age 43, 5’6″, 125 lbs. First and foremost I am a mom, but a CPA in my former life, and now studying to become a personal trainer. I aim to be a role model for my daughers and other moms, showing them how exhilarating it can be to live a strong and healthy lifestyle!

I played competitive tennis for 5 years in Europe during our family’s sejour in Germany and France, continued with USTA travel tennis back in the States, but switched to bodybuilding after a torn tendon resulted in shoulder surgery, ending my tennis “career.”

What competitions have you made appearances in and titles won?

My 1st figure competition was 7 months ago, and I’ve gone on to compete in a total of 6 contests this year, placing in the top 4 in both Open and Masters in all contests except my first one;) I won 1st place in the FAP Midwest, 2nd in the NPC Midwest Natural, 2nd in the OCB Midwest Natural, various 3rd & 4th places in Open & Masters in the NPC Ironman & IL State… Next up: the ARNOLD AMATEUR Figure Masters March 1-3 and the NPC Jr. Nationals June 15-16.

Who has been your biggest inspiration to become a figure competitor?

Candice Keene is my biggest inspiration- as a perfect figure pro and fitness model- she is proof that a woman can be both strong AND feminine! But my biggest fan club is my family- my husband and kids who cheer me on and share my passion for fitness:)
