Could you briefly share with us your background, interests and some of your current projects?

I was born in NY, raised in Miami, and currently live in California.

I have a passion for fitness. I feel to truly be successful at something you need to love it, otherwise you will never put your whole heart into it.

I also enjoy helping others, it’s the reason I started my fitness camps. So I can travel around the country to meet and hopefully inspire others to reach not only their fitness goals, but also in many cases help them fulfill dreams of winning a competition or being on the cover of a fitness magazine.

Could you share with us who has inspired you the most to succeed as a Bikini Competitor and Beyond?

My biggest inspiration, and the catalyst for me to even get into good enough shape and to have won has been my daughter. It was after having her and the potential medical pitfalls I overcame that inspired me to do more and gave me the courage to overcome my fears and doubts.

You are a very accomplished Bikini Competitor. Could you share some of the competitions you have made appearances in? From these, what were your placements?

I have been in 10 fitness competitions since November 2008, the most notable are the 2010 Arnold Bikini Overall Winner, and the 2010 and 2011 WBFF Pro Bikini World Champion.

When is your next scheduled competition to take place, and what will be your competing class?

The 2012 WBFF Worlds, and I will be going for a 3-peat as the defending Pro Bikini World Champion.

Life can be quite demanding! Could you explain to us how you maintained balance in your life while in competition prep?

Time management is one of the biggest issues I deal with, juggling  family, fitness, competitions, fitness modeling, events, etc.

Being a MOM is a constant struggle. My best advice to anyone that faces these same challenges is to be prepared, you need to try to plan things out the night before so when you wake up you can be ready to go, from getting your clothes out, your kids clothes out, having your meals thought out to avoid cheating and using time as the excuse, and the list goes on and on. It’s ALL about scheduling the agenda!!

We’re curious, what’s your current Nutritional and Supplement regimen like?

I use Musclepharm Assualt, Combat Powder, Muscle Gels, BCAA, glutamine and Armour V. These are all great products. Of course, you need to get as much of your nutrition from good healthy foods too.
